L'Image Chosen as One of Top Ten Day Spas by Bride's Magazine
Dallas -- Bride's October/November 2000 edition named L'Image Salon and Spa one of the Top 10 day spas in the country. The magazine sent out select women to visit different day spas across the country and report back on service, atmosphere, signature treatments and overall satisfaction.
L'Image was recognized for their customized facials and their unique process of tri-lighting, a three-shade process that combines lowlights and highlights for a "super-natural look."
While offering bridal packages was an important criteria, Bride's also looked at a spa's a la carte offerings, such as expert facial treatments, soothing body wraps, and full waxing services.
Some of L'Image's signature services are the relaxing Seaweed Body Masque, Loofah Salt Glow and Vichy Shower, in which the client is privately bathed listening to soft music as the skin is gently exfoliated to remove dry, dead skin and to provide improved circulation.
Whatever the chosen therapy or service, each L'Image Day Spa client is guaranteed to receive unique, personalized treatments. The Spa is renowned for personalized attention--it can pamper clients with one-hour treatments or luxurious day long beauty retreats and therapies. |
| Close Crops with Blonde Accents: The Latest Looks for Young Men from L'Image Salons
DALLAS -- The newest hair styles for guys in the class of 2000 and beyond is definitely short, but they're anything but boring! Fun and funky cuts, highlighted with pale blonde hues, ranging from golden to platinum, dominate this season, giving the high school and college "hotties" a head-turning look that even mom would approve.
A shorter version of the messy, tousled look headlines this spring and summer's male style versus the clean-cut "boy next door" look made popular in recent years by pop music, culture and Hollywood stars.
"Young men today want to make a fashion statement and are looking for low-maintenance hair that still has a sense of style," says Dayton Mast, owner of L'Image Salons and Spas in Dallas. "Hair cut and color has become a way for this generation of men to express themselves."
Whether hair is Marine-style short and razor cut to create uneven layers or left longer on top with sides and back of hair clipped short with accent highlights added to create movement and dimension, it says guys now know what women have known all along -- that a great cut and eye-catching color creates high-voltage impact.
And, according to Mast, these trend-setting young men are going to continue to demand cutting-edge ways to declare their individuality.
"Using color in new, radical ways is definitely the hottest trend for men in the new millennium," adds Mast. "Tipped effects on natural blonde hair is one of the newest trends we're seeing."
"In the past, a lot of young men were nervous about using color on their hair," states Mast. "Now the majority of these clients use color."
Accent colors range from subtle to bold. Golden blonde highlights placed on the tips of the hair to platinum highlights tipped to the root are adding depth and dimension to creative cuts that rarely even need a blow-dryer. Most of these styles need nothing more than gel for spiking hair and pomade for creating gloss and hold.
L'Image Salons and Spa celebrating its 23rd year in business, has been featured in numerous magazines, including Vogue, Woman's Day, Allure, Self, Ladies' Home Journal, In Style, Redbook, Bride's and Mademoiselle.
L'Image stylists attend monthly classes to keep up with the season's trends and styles, which have contributed to L'Image's reputation as one of Dallas' foremost salons. |
